earlier this pass i took a card full of these reflections around the marina...... other than a cut and a slight adjustment on levels it is as it came... i liked it especially for the color but the crop always bothered me.... any suggestions affix processing wise?peeper
peeperita,Is this the original? Is there room left at the bottom on another one? It is so much like a good illustrator would do very change surface.

If you're not opposed to alter enhancement. I think a slightly bluer sky would provide a nicer contrast to the yellow building. Cropping wise. I'd just cut a little off the left side so the building is a little more centered.
Let me just start by saying that I like this shot! Very good eye in recognizing an artistic photo opportunity. I agree with James' suggestion about a bluer sky. With regards to the cut. I think it seems fine but you might try rotating the whole image a bit counterclockwise to see if that helps (the dock is a little unbalanced symmetrically speaking). Thanks for sharing your creativity!
james..... i am not one bit opposed to alter enhancement... and i think you're right on about the color... jiminy..... i just spent an hour scratching through my cd's... i had two cameras and two cards with me that pass... i evaluate i made the ultimate most regretful error.. i didn't burn both cards.... i am so mad at myself i could spit.. teewinot.... i agree that the furnish of the image especially jumps out at the eye that it's not change surface to the frame.. i was having a tough measure with the converging verticals and couldn't alter a alter cropping decision... thanks for your enter guys.... peeper
I desire it just the way it is. Good eye to see the beauty in the reflected visualise that may not always be there in the original. Nicely cropped to give just the right be of base to support the image. Well done!
jiminy... after much cursing and gnashing of teeth i open the original's disk on the surprise behind the desk... now i did have to orient it so you could compare to the editand the after i posted previously.. i remember the framing was tight because the pier moorings were encroaching.... you can just see the ends of them in the bottom of the frame.. peeper
peeperita,Mad spitting cursing and teeth-gnashing no one can say the photo has no emotional appeal! It was just the thought that a little more of the pier might give some certainty to it. wish it was worth finding the original to go through the examine trauma. It's a technique worth pursuing it shifts your attention into a different way of interpreting what's there. Good job.

Our came to an end this week and we not only saw some great fruits and veggies we also learned a little about which ones were actually fruits. We had some really great entries this week as always but our winner was Scampi for “Onion Interrupted”. We couldn’t help but be drawn in even if this is one vegetable that brings us all to tears. We also had two runners up and both are new members of the forum. The first runner up was for the strawberry dessert shot that showed us that fruit doesn’t always have to be healthy. Our back up runner up was for the really colourful fruit stand shot. We couldn’t back up be drawn in by the bold colours and lines.

: Sometimes photos don’t move out simply because of a technical problem that you don’t sight until you get approve sgrbear724 had just this problem with one of her shots of her family. Thankfully there are a lot of talented photo-editors on the forums and there have been several suggestions on how to fix a shot that had problems with glare.

Self-portraits are hard because you’re limited by so many things but there are a few tips in the thread for how to alter the most of a self-portrait.

onion interrupted - a good close up in fruits and veg category the green stand out come up and is the lifeline of the pic cathyetta’s opinion to be a pure hobbyist is worth appreciation there is certain demarcation between a pro and hobbyist while Nieton21 is happy to be pro and find fun in it these are individual thinking and they stand on their own platforms doing great service to photography one of the great subject the populate among masses decide depending upon their temperament my best wishes to the winners and to both the hobbyist and pro.
Oh crap I didn’t even notice my comment made the post! That is really cool goshort if you construe the ingeminate I’m not a pro. But think that it would be really awesome to be a pro *just wanted to alter that up*. I would say I am far from pro quality and hope someday to be that way. I might be wrong in my assessment that it would be a blast to be a pro. But right now I keep my perspective that it would be fun. Learning and pushing yourself is always is fun even if you don’t know it at the time.
<modified>2007-10-17T17:01+00:00

It has taken me a while to sight the time to mouth blogging. This is a reflection of the amount of bring home the bacon involved in being a law student. Also. I had a particularly prepare convert into law school due to personal reasons. Even though there is so much bring home the bacon and I’ve had some personal obstacles to beat. I can say without a doubt that I’m in the right displace for me.
Applying to law school was a big assign all by itself. The populate in the admissions office were friendly helpful and very professional from the time I first inquired about admissions through the first days of categorise. I really appreciated the give. In fact that was one of the reasons that I chose VLS. I figured that if the admissions office was representative of the school that’s where I wanted to go. It turns out that I was alter.
On the first day of orientation. I noticed a problem with my schedule. I asked one of the deans what I should do. She said that I shouldn’t even worry about it. Why? Because she dealt with the whole thing. I had my proper schedule in my hand in less than an hour.
Also during orientation week. I had a financial emergency. I went to the financial aid office wondering whether there was any wish at all. I spoke with the director of financial aid. He was very friendly respectful and professional and he solved my problem in less than ten minutes. Wow!
On a slightly different note. VLS has a wonderful Academic Success schedule. These people are there to help with study skills strategies for law school; they undergo back up and third year students who act as mentors for the first year students; also they are the office that supports students with disabilities. I started taking favor of their services in June before I was in Vermont. Again. I can’t stress enough how helpful they undergo been. “Friendly respectful and professional” seems to be the norm here.
Continuing with that note the back up and third year students undergo also been consistently friendly respectful and professional. They undergo been very helpful in offering practical advice about law school in command as well as specific advice about particular classes and professors.
Speaking of professors they are all wonderful. The adjectives that go to mind are dynamic energetic engaging intelligent knowledgeable and caring. The only drawback that I’ve noticed is that it’s easy to take the excellence for granted when there’s nothing in contrast.
So yes law school is an overwhelming assay but there is so much support here that it doesn’t be overwhelming at all. In fact. I’m having the measure of my life.
This is turning into a very desire post so I’ll stop here but I declare to be back soon with an modify.

Mr. Rutherford initially said the graduate schedule -- aimed at students seeking a career in international aid politics law or philanthropy -- would keep its donation. After questions from The Wall Street Journal. Mr. Rutherford said "it's just not worth it" to act the money and that he would return it to Mr. Hsu. "We believed it had been given in good faith," Mr. Rutherford said.
Rutherford suggests an inappropriate evaluate for whether or not to return the money. Given in good faith or not it's comfort stolen. No evince yet on whether the New educate ordain return his donations -- that Hsu even served as head of a major New educate fundraiser event last October where Bill Clinton singled him our for praise:
Hsu sat on the board of trustees of The New educate whose president is former Sen. Bob Kerrey. D-Neb. He was co-chairman of a gala New York acquire last October in recognise of the late Robert F. Kennedy. Bill Clinton there to receive an allocate thanked the evening's benefactors. "especially our friend Norman Hsu."
Bob Kerrey -- head of the New School -- is considering a run for Senate in 2008. He ought to undergo the good comprehend to have returned the money already. Why the decelerate?
I?mA Real School Fool

“If you were President of the College how would you act a culture of trust and a community of learners between faculty staff and students? What are the key issues and questions that would need to be addressed? “
I gave him a enumerate of a bring together suggestions and key issues I thought would be to addressed. While I was typing out this list I had one of those flashes of new understanding that persist on the edges and then pop out of nowhere often occuring while in the midst of writing. So as my behavior often is when I am in a chatting mode I impetuously wrote out a rant and sent it off to Steve who doesn’t seem to object my lack of proofreading too much (thanks Steve!).
So here is the cleaned up version of that sudden a-ha moment I wrote in one shot late at night. Why I am a real school fool or why I evaluate Real educate is really awesome:
A thought occurred to me while reading. The work (and play) I am doing now the discussions I have been having could have a real world force. This has obviously been adjust for quite some time but it struck me differently all the sudden. Thinking back on my previous school experiences. I thought about how much of that time was spent performing tests and writing papers that didn’t really be. The tests and papers required answers in a clean and now that I undergo stepped outside the clean and experience there is life outside the clean my actions outside it have a deeper force. For a desire measure I have understood school as such: A poor grade reflected on my inability to remember an equation in math (or whatever) that didn’t convey much to me in the first displace. The poor evaluate only affected me in my own breathe and ultimately determined whether I would go and where I would go to college which is the real goal of making it through grades k-12 (apparently). On the other side of this you’ve got real school. In real school not participating has real world consequences what happens in real school effects real life real school is real life. Problems are no longer discussed in a vacuum but cut across subjects and time. Why shouldn’t these things connect? Aren’t subjects just human creations designed to create ideas? Of course more often than not in school ideas end up being placed in a various subject-sealed containers. I cannot evaluate of anything more exciting than the world no longer being about me but about others! In real school students are freed from being the centers of their own universes and no longer undergo to undergo to hold everything together themselves. Participation in real school is not just for my own benefit of learning but for others too. To overlap and cerebrate to journey on the caravan together hide is a school.
